What we collect
- Everyone: name, email, mobile number, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), messages, reviews and records of what you accept in the app.
- Homeowners: job descriptions, photos, postcode and full address.
- Traders: identity document, qualification certificates, base postcode and service radius, your insurance declaration, strikes for missed jobs.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To run the service you signed up for — matching jobs, revealing addresses and phone numbers after acceptance, messaging (contract).
- To verify traders' identity and qualifications and keep the platform safe, including no-show strikes and flags (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records and responding to lawful requests (legal obligation).
Who can see it
- Your full address and phone number are shown only to the other party on a job, and only after a trader accepts it.
- Traders' identity documents are seen only by our review team.
- Service providers that process data for us: Supabase (database and file storage, hosted in the EU — Ireland), Vercel (website hosting), postcodes.io (postcode look-ups; only the postcode is sent).
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, then up to 12 months.
- Trader identity documents: while you are an active trader, then deleted within 3 months of closing your account.
- Job, review and safety records: up to 6 years, for disputes and legal claims.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email [contact email]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to help first.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
